Before you begin
You will need:
- Tally Prime 7.0 or later installed on your Windows PC or server.
- A SurveyAnalytica account with at least one workflow that uses a Webhook trigger.
- Administrator access to Tally (to load TDL files).
Step 1 — Download the connector
- In SurveyAnalytica, go to Account → Integrations and click Browse Connectors, or open any workflow, select the Webhook trigger, and click Browse Connectors from the trigger drawer.
- Find Tally Prime in the list and expand it to see available versions.
- Click Download next to the version that matches your Tally Prime release (version 1.0.0 supports Tally Prime 7.0 and later).
- Your browser will download a file named
TallyConnector.tdl. Save it to a location you can easily find, such as your Desktop or a dedicated TallyTDL folder.
Step 2 — Load the TDL file into Tally Prime
- Open Tally Prime.
- Press F12 to open Configure, then go to Product & Features → TDL & Add-On.
- Set Load TDL on Startup to Yes.
- In the List of TDL Files, press Enter on an empty row, browse to your downloaded
TallyConnector.tdl file, and select it.
- Press Ctrl+A to accept and save the configuration.
Step 3 — Restart Tally Prime
Close and reopen Tally Prime. After restarting, a new menu item called SurveyAnalytica Connector will appear in the Gateway of Tally screen.
If the menu item does not appear, double-check that the TDL file path is correct and that Tally Prime reloaded without errors. You can view TDL load errors from Help → TDL & Add-On.
Step 4 — Verify the installation
- From the Gateway of Tally, open SurveyAnalytica Connector.
- The connector configuration screen will open showing environment, transaction type settings, and a Test Connection button.
- You are now ready to configure the connector. Continue with the Configuration Guide.
Upgrading to a newer version
- Download the new version from the Connectors Marketplace.
- In Tally Prime, go back to F12 → TDL & Add-On, remove the old TDL file entry, and add the new one in its place.
- Restart Tally Prime. Your saved configuration (Workflow IDs, API Keys, and settings) is preserved inside Tally and does not need to be re-entered.
