Rich content in every question
Question descriptions use a full editor: headings, colours, alignment, right-to-left text, lists, links, images from your media library, embedded video, math formulas, icons, raw HTML and AI translation. Piped answers resolve inside the text.
Settings on every question
Required
The respondent answers before moving on, and an error shows beside the question.
Visible
Hide a question by default and reveal it with a display rule.
Auto-apply default
Apply the question's default value automatically.
Randomise options
Shuffle the answer options for each respondent.
Dynamic options
Build the options from earlier answers with a formula, or from your own JavaScript.
Split Survey ID
Make the answer part of the response ID, so a repeat submission with the same answer updates the earlier response.
Custom question ID
Give the question your own ID and show it to respondents with the Custom Question IDs option.
Weight
Set how much the question counts towards the score.
Rules
Attach skip and display rules to the question.
Style
Give the question its own style.
AI analysis
Turn on sentiment, classification, entity detection or content analysis for text, file and video questions.
Logic, rules and formulas

2
Logic, rules and formulas
Decide what each respondent sees, calculate values from their answers and check every input.
Skip and display rules
Each rule pairs a condition on an answer with an action and a priority. Rules are checked on every answer change, and navigation reverts when the condition stops holding.
Jump to the top of a later page.
Jump to a specific question on a page.
End survey
Finish the survey at this point.
Disqualify respondent
Stop the survey for respondents who do not qualify.
Show page
Show a page only when the condition holds.
Hide page
Hide a page when the condition holds.
Show question
Reveal a follow-up question.
Hide question
Hide a question that no longer applies.
Filter options
Remove chosen options from a later question.
Show only options
Keep only chosen options in a later question.
Conditions
Test choice answers for any of, exactly one of, all of or none of the selected options, and text answers for equals, not equals or contains. Matrix and ranking conditions match a row and a column; NPS and CSAT ratings use their scale values. Combine two conditions with AND or OR and read the rule back as an 'if … then …' sentence.
Rules from plain language
Describe a rule, such as "Skip to page 3 if someone selects 'No'" or "Disqualify NPS detractors (0-6)", and the AI rule builder writes it for you.
Randomisation
Shuffle options, questions within pages, or the page order. The order is seeded per session, so it stays the same on reload, and scoring follows question IDs, not positions. Good to know: question and page shuffling pauses on surveys that use navigation rules, while option shuffling still applies.
Piping and personalisation
Show an earlier answer in later questions with a {questionId} token: text, phone numbers, chosen labels, comma-joined selections, NPS, slider, rating and date answers. The Insert variable button adds tokens for you.
Custom variables
Declare variables such as uid or region, pass their values in the survey URL, and use them as {name} in questions and end pages. In campaigns they fill from contact-list fields. They are stored with every response and appear as dimensions in analytics and segments.
Options built by formula
Build a question's options from earlier answers, using option values or weights, combined with add, subtract, multiply and divide. Matrix and product-card answers can be sources.
Options and values from your own code
Write JavaScript that runs in the respondent's browser with the survey, the answers and helper functions: read answers, create options and product options, call an API with a 60-second cache, calculate sums and averages, filter and sort, and format currency. Code can be asynchronous and has 10 seconds to finish; if it fails, the question uses its formula, then its static options. Starter templates cover basic options, an external API, conditional logic and dynamic pricing.
End-page and certificate formulas
37 functions in the designer formula palette, evaluated on the server when the response is submitted, plus ready-made bundles for test results, NPS and certificates.
- ScoreTotal score, maximum score, percentage, sum, average, per-question score and maximum, and a performance message chosen by score range.
- QuizCorrect and incorrect counts, each answer next to its correct answer, and a question breakdown table with score and status columns.
- RespondentName, email, phone and a greeting name.
- SurveyOrganisation name, survey title, current date, submission date and response ID.
- Conditional logicIF, SWITCH with a default case and per-language results, AND, OR and NOT, comparing numbers, text, other formulas or answers.
- NPSNPS score, category (Promoter 9-10, Passive 7-8, Detractor 0-6) and percentage.
- CertificateThe certificate link and certificate ID.
- OrderPayment status for IF and SWITCH, an order summary table, and tokens for order number, status, total, currency, retry link and receipt link.
- Custom messageA message with inline values such as {TOTAL_SCORE}, {PERCENTAGE}, {CORRECT_COUNT} and {RESPONDENT_NAME}.
Validation
Required answers
Required questions show an inline error, and the progress bar counts required questions.
Pattern
Check text inputs against a regular expression.
Length
Set a maximum length on text inputs and a minimum number of rows on free text.
Ranges
Set minimum, maximum and default values on sliders and dates.
Files
Limit the file types and size for each upload question.
Payment amount
Set a minimum and maximum for custom payment amounts, in whole units.
Unique response key
Answers marked Split Survey ID become required and form the response ID, so a repeat with the same key updates the earlier response.
Repeat check
Before the survey opens, it checks whether this person or session has already responded, including URL variable values.
Limits
Response limits, attempt limits and stock are enforced on the server.
Response limit
Stop accepting responses at a number you set and close the survey automatically.
Attempt limit
Cap how many times one person can respond.
Product stock
Stop sales of a product when its stock runs out.
Reward vouchers
Give reward codes to the first respondents, up to the number of vouchers you set.

Order forms with live stock and Stripe payments
Product cards, a payment question and an order record for every checkout turn a survey into an order form. Refunds are made from the Responses page, and disputes show there with the date to respond by in Stripe.
Product cards
Each product has an image, title, description, a price per currency with an optional struck-through original price, one of 54 sale units in 7 groups or your own, stock (blank means unlimited), a per-order limit and New, Sale, Popular or Featured badges.
Currency by location
The first currency shown follows the respondent's browser locale, then their time zone, then your own order.
Stripe Checkout
Respondents pay on Stripe Checkout through your connected Stripe account, with itemised lines, the order number as the description, the buyer's email filled in and the page in the respondent's language.
Preset, custom or cart amounts
Offer preset amounts per currency, a custom amount between a minimum and maximum, or the cart total; the server recalculates the amount and rejects a changed total.
Live stock holds
A paid submission reserves stock until checkout expires, payment allocates it, and an expired or failed payment releases it. Forms without payment allocate at submit. If stock runs short, the submission is refused and nothing is saved.
Stock on the card
Cards show In stock, Only N left (10 or fewer) or Out of stock, and the quantity stops at the order limit or the stock left. A returning respondent's own open hold is not counted against them.
Several cards, one order
One order can span several product cards, and every line keeps its product and quantity.
Order numbers
Use your ID Generator answer as the order number, or the server creates one such as ORD-20261009-XXXXXXXX; it is shown to the buyer and in Stripe.
Receipts and invoices
Turn on Stripe email receipts and Stripe invoices for buyers; the receipt is linked from the order.
Minor units and zero-decimal currencies
Amounts are stored in minor units, and 16 zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW are handled correctly.
Order confirmation page
A prebuilt end page in seven languages shows the order number, date, payment status and a retry link while payment is pending, failed or expired. It opens only after the checkout session is verified with Stripe.
Refund by item
Choose lines and quantities to refund and, for each tracked product, whether it goes back to saleable stock or not; stock returns once Stripe confirms the refund.
Refund a fixed amount
Refund any amount up to what remains, with no change to stock.
Cancel the order
Refund everything that remains with one restock choice; the order shows as cancelled once Stripe confirms.
Refund records
Every refund needs a reason and gets a credit note when a Stripe invoice exists. Refunds made in the Stripe dashboard update the order as well.
Disputes
An open or lost dispute marks the order Disputed and shows the amount, the reason and the date to respond by in Stripe; refunds wait until it settles.
Paid responses protected
A paid response cannot be deleted and quantities on a placed order cannot be changed; deleting an unpaid response releases its stock.
Orders in Responses
Order number, order status, payment status and amount with refunds are sortable columns, with Refund and Cancel on each row and an order view with items, refunds, buyer, card and receipt.
Abandoned checkouts kept
Expired or failed checkouts are stored separately for analysis, the respondent can submit again, and held stock is released.
Order summary analytics
A card shows orders by status, revenue per currency (gross, refunded and net, never added across currencies), units sold per product net of refunds, and refunds; a payment chart shows net revenue per currency.
Orders in flows
Order fields are available on the Survey Response trigger, and payment or refund changes run the flow again as an update that carries the order changes.
Order-form templates
Product Purchase Form, Donation Form, Event Ticket Payment and Service Payment Form come in seven languages with the order confirmation page.
Tests and quizzes
- Scoring and weightage
- Negative marking
- Correct answers
- Time limits
4
Tests and quizzes
Set the survey category to Test or Quiz to switch on scoring, per-question timers, anti-cheat, answer explanations and save and resume.
Scoring and weightage
Choice answers score question weight times option weight; checkbox sums the selected weights, matrix scores each cell, ranking scores by position, NPS, rating and slider score by value, and text answers score by similarity to the correct answer in the respondent's language.
Negative marking
Give a wrong option a negative weight to deduct points; a multi-select question never scores below zero.
Correct answers
Set the expected answer for text, multiple-text and slider questions; weights and expected answers are removed from the copy respondents load.
Time limits
Use a survey countdown that submits automatically, timed sections with locked navigation, and per-question timers that run only while the question is on screen. Submissions more than 30 seconds past the limit are flagged.
Passing score
Responses at or above the passing percentage are marked passed, and recalculated when a response is edited.
Attempts and retakes
Allow retakes, cap attempts from 1 to 100, and keep the best, latest or average score.
Answer explanations
Show a multilingual explanation for each question on the result page.
Results and release
Results show score, percentage, pass status, completion time and percentile, immediately or after you release them for the survey or for one response.
Leaderboard
Rank each participant's best percentage, with response time breaking ties, and anonymise names if you choose.
Certificates
Generate a PDF certificate for passing participants with a certificate ID from your ID generator; they download it from the result page.
Anti-cheat
Detect tab switches with 1 to 10 warnings and submit after the last one, and block copy, paste and right-click.
Competency tags
Tag questions with skills and see scores rolled up per competency.
Save and resume
Signed-in participants' progress is saved every 30 seconds and restored when they return.

Six ways to start
AI assistant, template, clone, import, blank, or a request for our team to build it.
Build together
- Real-time co-editing
- Auto-save and recovery
- Locking
- Version history
6
Build together
Your team edits the same survey at the same time, with locking, versions and threads.
Real-time co-editing
Several people edit one survey at once; each save reaches the others as a change, and the server keeps a single version so edits do not overwrite each other.
Auto-save and recovery
The designer saves every 10 seconds while you work, warns before you leave with unsaved changes and keeps a local recovery copy for 15 minutes.
Locking
Lock a survey so only you can save it; others see that another user holds the lock.
Version history
Every accepted save is a version with author and time; view any version read-only, roll back, and publish a chosen version.
Undo and redo
Up to 50 steps, with other people's edits kept out of your undo history.
Threads
Discuss a survey from the designer with @mentions, attachments, participants, resolve and reopen, and an AI summary of the outcome.
Roles and workspaces
Organise work in teams and workspaces and assign Admin, Surveyor, Agent or Participant; read and write access per role is checked on the server.

7
Choose from 191 languages
Add any of 191 languages. Every multilingual field is machine-translated from your default language when you save.
Automatic translation
Every multilingual field, such as questions, options, page titles and button labels, is translated with Google Cloud Translate on save, and question blocks are translated when inserted.
Your edits stay
Text is retranslated only when the default-language source changes or a language is added, so hand-edited translations are kept.
Placeholders protected
Tokens such as {order_number} are kept out of translation.
Respondent language
Respondents switch language from a picker, the first language follows their browser, and built-in texts such as Next, Submit and error messages are translated too.
Right-to-left
Surveys in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu render right to left.
Default language
Change the default language at any time, with a warning when translations are missing.
Beyond surveys
Campaigns, WA-Flows and question banks are multilingual too.

Tracking, AI on answers and what runs on submit
Know where responses come from, read what respondents wrote, said and uploaded, and act on every submission.
Tracking
Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Add a GA4 measurement ID to load Google Tag Manager and gtag, record page views and send a submit event.
Location
Record where the respondent is when they submit, with their browser's permission.
Session tracking
Each visit records the collector link, referrer and language, and every collector counts its opens and responses.
Partial responses
When a respondent leaves early, their answers so far and URL variables are saved for drop-off analysis.
URL variables
Custom variables arrive with each response and become dimensions in analysis.
Response notifications
Email your team on each new response; admins also get an in-app alert.
AI on text, file and video answers
Turn on AI analysis per question for text, file upload and video questions. Answers in any language are analysed, with results in your survey's default language.
Sentiment
Six levels from very negative to very positive, plus a score from -1 to 1.
Classification
Topic labels for text answers and for uploaded Word, PDF and PowerPoint files.
Entity detection
The names and terms mentioned in text answers and files.

Analyst corrections
Re-tag entities and correct sentiment in Text Analytics; your corrections take precedence and the originals are kept.
Multimodal analysis in flows
A flow action runs Gemini over answers and files, including visual entities with timestamps in videos.
What runs on submit
Every response can start a flow. The Survey Response trigger fires on create, update and delete with the AI results included, and conditions can test answers, sentiment, classes, entities, extracted content and segments.
Emails and follow-ups
Send email, SMS through Telnyx or Twilio, or WhatsApp templates with values from the answers, after a wait if you choose.
