Questions teams ask
What can each role do?
Make each person an Owner, Admin, Member or Billing user of the organisation; only Owners can grant Owner. Inside each workspace, Admins create and edit everything, including flows and workspace settings; Surveyors create and edit surveys, responses, campaigns, lists, analyses and datasets; Agents can read surveys, campaigns and responses without changing them, and work on tasks assigned to them. Each role's read and write access to every kind of work is checked on our servers on every request.
Can two people edit at once?
Yes: surveys, campaigns and portals. Teammates co-edit classic and cross-channel campaigns, with each saved step change shared to everyone editing, and build a portal in the same designer session. Only members of the workspace with access to the item can join its live editing session.
What if we edit the same question?
There is always one current version, so a save from an out-of-date tab is refused instead of overwriting newer work. In the survey designer, Undo and Redo reverse only your own edits: a teammate's saved changes are kept when you undo.
Who can unlock?
Only the person who locked an item can unlock it. While an item is locked, only the person holding the lock can save changes to it, and anyone opening a locked survey or campaign sees a notice that a teammate is holding it. Locking needs edit access to the item.
How long is history kept?
Versions are kept about 30 days, with who saved each one. Restoring a campaign first saves the version being replaced, so you can always go back to it. Question banks keep numbered versions you can open and restore.
Can outside people review?
Preview links are for people signed in to your organisation. Copy a preview link for a draft survey and send it to teammates; they can open it even before the survey is published.
Where do tasks show?
In the Action Center, linked to the survey, response, campaign or other record they were raised on. The bell and the notifications page collect mentions, tasks and alerts, and you switch task alerts on or off in your account: task assigned to me, task I created was completed, task due soon or overdue.
How do I stop notifications?
Choose All messages, Mentions only or Muted for each workspace in Account › Notifications, and override it on any single thread. Mentions still reach you on Mentions only. Switch each kind of personal alert on or off in your account.
