“Bring your own panel” is the short name for running the SurveyAnalytica participant experience on a domain you own — panel.acme.com, members.acme.com, or your apex domain. The capability has grown well beyond a branded sign-in page: what you host today is a full participant portal, a multi-page site with public pages anyone can read and a private area for your participants. This page is a signpost to the four guides that cover it.
What you get
- A complete site on your hostname — public pages that are server-rendered and indexable, and private pages only signed-in participants can reach.
- Your branding throughout: your logo on every screen, your headline and text on the sign-in page, your domain in the address bar.
- An HTTPS certificate issued and renewed for you, with no certificate work at your end.
- Tenant scoping — a visitor on your hostname is scoped to your organization, and participants never see another organization’s data.
- Optional mapping to specific teams inside your organization, so different domains can serve different audiences.
- Per-portal control of sign-up: whether people can register themselves at all, and whether they are approved automatically or wait for an administrator.
What it is not
- It is not a bring-your-own-participant-database integration. Participants are still managed inside SurveyAnalytica.
- It is not the survey custom domain, which controls where individual surveys are served. The two are separate tabs under Account → My Domains and can be used together.
- It is not a white-label of the admin application. Your portal is yours; the tooling you administer it from is still SurveyAnalytica.
Where to go next
- Participant Portal — Overview and Use Cases — what a portal is, the three page access levels, and what people build with them.
- Setting Up a Custom Domain for Your Participant Portal — registering the hostname, the DNS records, verification and team mapping.
- Building Your Portal — Design Tabs, Components and Branding — pages, layouts, navigation, components and branding.
- Publishing and Launching Your Participant Portal — going live, updating, and taking a portal offline.
Custom domains are a paid capability. If your plan does not include them, the domain form answers “Your current plan does not include custom domains.”
